Wendy Jardine
Yesterday I sent a student, who is also a member of my library, a quick email because I felt there was a session in my library that she'd love and might not yet have found. She just sent me this email.
"Wendy, thank you so much for suggesting this session - it was perfect. I found it quite like a meditation which was lovely, so I have made a note of it to come back to.
I am so pleased I have ‘come back’ to Pilates during lockdown and especially my furlough month. Thanks to our 1:1 I have learned so much about core connection. I think previously I had confused core connection with my tummy muscles (both of which were weak!) but thanks to your clear explanations and the wonderful imagery you use, I now understand about keeping your core connection whilst using the ‘movers’; be it the tummy muscles, outer thighs etc. This understanding has not only helped all aspects of my Pilates but also how I am moving day to day, remembering to engage my core and move consciously. I cannot thank you enough Wendy, the improvements in my back pain and flexibility is incredible. I now know what I need to focus on to strengthen the core, but would appreciate another 1:1 at some point soon, if you have some space.
I am back to work next week, I will have Wednesdays off. I look forward to seeing you on Zoom as much as possible and in the meantime I have the wealth of videos in the Library to keep me busy.
Have a lovely, restful weekend."
Best news isn't it? So happy. xox The session I recommended for her is 58 in Core category. My zoom-in at noon this Tuesday (7th July) will be the core and the lumbar spine; the how, why, what, where does one thing lead to another. See you there. xox
