Please contact me to join these Monday sessions. You'll also find me presenting at the RAD Members' Day on 11th May.
Cue the Move: Play Pilates to our strengths - we should never exacerbate our weaknesses. Play Pilates to our strengths is worth remembering, as we choose the level right for us on any given day, in any moment, as we guide our body through beautiful conscious movements. If you feel weak, stop, breathe and breathe some more. Prepare and establish your set up again, with all the awareness you know, and continue to breathe deeply and completely. Let me help you to put the jig-saw pieces together. There is no move we ever need to think we "can't do" - we do the "can do" and we play to our strengths. For now, find all you know of your sitting, or standing, posture. Start to gently lift your chest, hold that position for six deep complete breaths and relax. Take those inhalations in through your nose and into your upper back and those thorough exhalations through your mouth. And then relax.
Please note this unchanged list of term-times:

News: I've met with much kindness of strangers this week. I've also had an unexpected two hours of amazing conversation with a ninety year old wonder woman. My favourite thing is hearing untold real stories. Plus, EV and I have had some beautiful walks with our friends. I've watched some riveting television, too; The Au Pair and then The Ruth Ellis Story. One a TV drama and the other, as we know, about the last woman to be hanged in this country. She was hanged on 13th July 1955. She was aged just twenty-nine. Both the TV drama and the real life story had a couple of parallel themes. Neither were an easy watch. I leave you without spoilers but with one line only, delivered by the inimitable Toby Jones in The Ruth Ellis Story. He played her solicitor, John Bickford. Here's the line; "Justice isn't real Ruth; it's a story written by the winners." Kelly Jones, as ever, gives us killer lines throughout the story.
The sunrise is stunning this precious morning and I'm looking forward to every moment of today and the week ahead; can't wait to see you in class.
