I know it's Bank Holiday Monday but I'll be on my own, as is my wont, so join me if you'd like. There will also be sessions, suitable for all, Tuesday to Thursday. Just click on the link and I'll be there. If you're new to my zooms, then please look at last week's blog, if you want more information. I'm not in the zoom 7-10 September but will be back!

Returning to All Saints
I met with All Saints on Thursday. Margaret the Parish Administrator and I, looked at the space together and discussed ways to make group practising Low Risk and Covid-Secure. I am now confident and happy that, with simple rules, that are becoming common sense already, we can have a lovely relaxed time together. In our own safe space and without having to wear masks for the actual session. It's not rocket science, it's easy, we've got this.
I've presented a risk assessment, following government guidelines, and practising together is low risk. The assessment includes secure social distance, facilities, equipment, ventilation, sanitisation and hygiene. It includes our shared responsibilities. You're welcome to see it. But, for now, I've sent it to Margaret who will discuss, with the committees and decision makers, both our meeting and my risk assessment. But I wanted you to know that, at this juncture, I'm excited and believe it's going to work smoothly and we'll be together again, securely and calmly. We'll be able to Breathe Connect Move with ease and wonder, within the personal space we all deserve.
We will very much, collectively, make this work. I realised that I only wanted to continue teaching if I could be true to myself and my ethos and I have now found a way. I will send you a detailed email once all security is agreed with the church. (I am afraid Draco and I have never had a good word to say about each other and frankly, he'll never look me in the eye. So, please forget I ever thought I'd need to introduce him, he has no place in our trusting environment).
Payments and cancellations too, will continue to fit easily within my ethos. Obviously booking is vital but it'll be simple. You'll email me when you plan to attend a session. Any session, no need to lock into one particular time. You can cancel up to midnight the night before. Your email to attend secures your space. You will get an email confirming your reservation or an email to say the spaces are taken. If a space becomes available you'll get an email from me offering the space to you, and so on. Obviously, most cancellations will be earlier than midnight the night before. I'm confident that it'll all work out beautifully.
Payment will only be taken from those who have booked and not cancelled. (I might bring in a booking system online but for now it's the personal touch). Here's the thing though, if you don't get a space, you can always join us from home anyway.
The sessions will be live streamed and open to all. If you prefer practising from home then join us, you don't need to book, you just click the link that you'll find in my blog each Sunday evening.
Finally, should we lockdown, at least we will know that we have the room set up and can resume as soon as the guidelines allow. Like mine, I know all ears are to the ground. We'll continue to watch the waves and accelarations and be fluid, as always. The most likely starting date in the hall will be Monday 5th October. I will send you an email during the week of 14th September detailing the covid-security and our collective roles and responsibilities to make practising together again; simple, safe and peaceful. It'll be a joy to see you in person.
On Wednesday, I added class 86 to the library. Finding balance and connection while supine on the ball. Connecting the ball to the pelvis with breath and alignment. It's easy when you know how and the connection is deep and worthwhile. Then moves are added. Core connection, core strength, core training.
My love and respect, as ever, and thank you.
