Thank you for your precise payments @£6 and your £60 advance payments for ten Zooms.  You receive a renewal email from me, after you've attended ten sessions. 

Returning to the Room and "The Letter"

See you in the Room from the week of 7th December for two weeks, and then it's Christmas week.  I will be continuing Zoom sessions.

New Students

Always good to welcome new people and thank you for spreading the word about the Zoom sessions. There is no need to book for Zooms, just click the link and I'll "admit" you.  No passwords or complicated invitations, just click, I'll admit you and we'll move! I'll talk you through every move so your body flows.  We have attendees from all over England's home counties and beyond the seas, too. It's good and special to connect with you this way.


Oh my! Our very own Stephanie Browncross. xox Stephanie xox. Those of you who do my local sessions on Mondays will know Stephanie.  She is a deeply strong woman in this crazy world and is outstanding in The Crown.  She is perfectly cast by Robert Sterne and put in the centre of the shots by the director, Stephen Daldry. Stephanie, I am so proud for you, your publicly proven talents say it all. I have no doubt that your scenes, grounded in raw truth, have woken many. Huge respect for your performance in a series that will be internalised by millions.  Congratulations Stephanie, you are moving this crazy world forward.

The Library

The library is open 24/7 for Relaxation to Advanced sessions. I'm adding a weighted session this week, please use tins of something, anything that's the same weight, or small bottles of water, or indeed weights! I'll be using 1 kg weights xox

Continual Professional Development

I attended an inspired Training Day yesterday, via Zoom, presented by Jo Cobbe of JPilates.  Her course was grounded in robust scientific studies of this century. So fascinated was I that afterwards I headed for paper after paper, thank you Google.  I've read and read, I love an academic sprint!  I then found myself wide awake at 4 am and reading more!  I won't go into it too much but scientists have posited an optimal theory of motor learning.  How optimal performance is gained through intrinsic motivation and attention for learning. Overall, the findings are that a performer’s attentional focus fundamentally affects their movement coordination. An external focus on the intended movement effect, enhances all aspects of performance, independent of skill level, task, age, or (dis)ability. When you add these robust findings to other robust papers about breath and focussing on the now, you have the perfect platform for preparation and movement.  If this makes no sense, fear not!  I will be cueing our way through the sessions, as ever, and your bodies will flow like magic, as always.  Much love to you all.
