113 Online Sessions This week's addition is Happy Walk and is done in 15 minutes. Have a Barre to hand. (Barre? window sill, table. chair, desk, bed head, park bench, kitchen worktop) We stretch the calves, so important for a feel good walk or run, their suppleness gives us the bounce and elevation we need. Then we find the muscles that look after our hips and keep lower back pain away. Then our feet, one by one, are released and strengthened. We then take 2nd position to tone our outer thighs and work the strength of the front of our lower legs while enjoying the happy calves we've set up and our hip rotators truly respond. Then a full stretch throughout the posterior line and into a spine twist for our postural strength. 15 minutes standing, with breath, connection and ease of movement, to make a real difference to our day.
Toning and Eating to Feel Good This week I will be starting with a new student who wants to feel good from the inside out and improve her fitness. I will be supporting her in what she eats and how she works out. She wants her results to be diarised and this will be done on instagram. If you want to follow her journey with me then go to @wendyjardinepilates for pix and progress. If you live locally you may see us out and about training. EV will be joining in, too!

Thank you and very best wishes,

"Watch a cat, as it lazily opens its eyes, slowly looks around, and gradually prepares to rise after a nap. First, it gradually rises on its hindquarters and then gradually lowers itself again, at the same time sprawling out on the floor, leisurely stretching its forepaws (with extended claws) and legs. Observe closely how all its back muscles actually ripple as it stretches and relaxes itself.... Observe, too, how cats sleep - utterly relaxed whether they happen to be lying on their back, side or belly, Contrology exercises emphasize the need for this constant stretching and relaxing"
