Online Library Session 111 is a chair session to give our necks, shoulders and backs the know how to ease into good posture. We breathe and connect, we play with our lateral thoracic breath. Then shoulder rolls, neck turns, traps stretches, head circles, neck reverses. Then arm floats to stimulate our hand holding and shopping muscles, then something for the deltoids and lats to tone, and we windmill our arms and dumbwaiter our rotators, we tilt our necks and side bend through to open out our spines. The mirrors give a clear view of the back and front of the moves, as we move from the inside out. 

Returning to the Room

We know that the Government are debating whether or not Step Four should go ahead from 21st June, which means surely that Step Four will be delayed? Maybe I'm data dizzy but Step Four is an assured step forwards into a lift of all restrictions, if there is any doubt then how can we be unleashed into Step Four?  How can I confidently say, let's gather again in the Room and throw our masks to the wind, breathe deeply and feel confident! There are too many ramifications for each of us, should this go wrong. So, with this in mind, I have made a BIG DECISION:

The Zoom schedule will continue throughout the summer months. There will be no Room sessions throughout July and August and no changes to the dedicated Zoomers' timetable, except essential changes when I'm teaching summer schools. During the summer months should you, or a group of you, want a garden session, let me know. 

Room sessions will resume from 6th September 2021, which will be our 14th anniversary at All Saints

Monday 7 am, 8 am, 930 am

Tuesday 10 am, 11 am

Wednesday 8 am, 930 am, 1030 am

Having had a constructive meeting with Adam, the Caretaker, we have secured new times that should mean traffic congestion is not an issue: The 0900 session on Mondays will be at 0930. The Advanced session on Wednesdays will be at 0930. The Barre, Chair and Standing session will therefore be at 1030. Will these times work for you? 

I will invest in new mats, as you kindly bought so many for Zooming, but I will do this once I know Step Four is a viable reality. If we're not in Step Four by September 2021, then I will throw on my backpack, continue to teach over Zoom and travel the country with laptop tucked under one arm and lapdog under t'other.

Talking of Lapdog

EV has been very ill.  She is now better and she thanks the team of experts who treated her at Paxton Vets. They recognised it was an emergency, they acted fast and gave her lifesaving fluids. They helped her through a severe case of HGE.  She is much better now, she is bouncy and spirited and very happy with life. She might even make a Zoom appearance next week, if she's not too busy making up for lost time.
