I'm often heard to say that we are "a work in progress" and so too is our new schedule! You will see that there are two changes: There are now two BarreChairStand zoom sessions: Mondays at 11am (not 1130!) and Thursdays at 10am (All Zooms now start on the hour). There is also a BarreChairStand workshop session in the room on Wednesdays at 1030 am. A space to say it as it is, and to release and heal with precision, ease and constructive exchange.
Please note that you do not need to book for zoom or room sessions, you will simply be welcome. If you'd like to remind yourselves of my pointers towards confidently maintaining our health, while practising in the room, please check back to https://www.pilates-instructor.net/blog/300821
Last week zoomed by with wonder and flow and brought some of us together again in the room. Here's to the second week of room, unmuted and with music to accompany us! Here's also to our zoom sessions continuing, this week takes us to our 765th Zoom session! I know, it's almost shocking isn't it. Much love everyone, keep strong.

123 Online Sessions available for you 24/7 Session 123 has been added and brings clarity to our starting positions: Supine, Prone, Four Point Kneeling, Sitting, High Kneeling, Lower Arm Kneeling, Standing. You will see how to find neutral spine with ease in every position. You will see how breath leads to connection and you will see lateral breathing and stability. Perfect for postural awareness and practising our contrology.
In this session Emily Byrt joins me, and for clarity I use hands-on correction. Emily is an actress, singer and dancer. Since graduating from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2013, she has worked extensively in theatre, film and television. When not acting, Emily teaches singing and acting to young people all over London. She is also a producer, curating events in the glamorous world of cabaret.
See you in the room, zoom and online.

Thank you and best wishes
"Watch a cat, as it lazily opens its eyes, slowly looks around, and gradually prepares to rise after a nap. First, it gradually rises on its hindquarters and then gradually lowers itself again, at the same time sprawling out on the floor, leisurely stretching its forepaws (with extended claws) and legs. Observe closely how all its back muscles actually ripple as it stretches and relaxes itself.... Observe, too, how cats sleep - utterly relaxed whether they happen to be lying on their back, side or belly, Contrology exercises emphasize the need for this constant stretching and relaxing"
