Pilates For Our Bones

Dear All

Pilates is For Our Bones too -  

Keeping strong through weight bearing, breathing completely and eating and drinking wisely, are all actions that are good for our bones.  All 206 of them!

This week we will look at some of the moves that are particular go-tos for our bone health. We will breathe completely, exhaling 70% of our stress hormone, Cortisol, so that our bone turnover can look after itself, without excess cortisol inhibiting the process.  We can choose our food and drink wisely too, whether adding in a daily Banana, or choosing Nuts over crisps, Raisins over sweets, Fish over beans, Rice, Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes over wheat pastas or breads, Watering down the alcohol, drinking more Water, Moderating salt intake - all tiny things, and not hard, and will make a difference.

(Room sessions are fabulous for 55 minutes of feedback, hands on and being together with music carrying us through, and ambient community sounds!)
